​From chaos to orderliness at Kathrine’s

Kathrine Sørland is a popular TV-personality and one of Norway’s most renown influencers within lifestyle, fashion, and interior design. Now she invites you to her apartment in Nesøya, where she lives with her 12-year-old son, Leon.

The apartment is spacious, airy and has a stylish decor. However, the apartment had standard storage solutions, which were impractical, non-personal and made it hard to organize all of Kathrine’s and Leo’s belongings. A hallway with space for it all

Kathrine’s hallway is tastefully decorated with mirrors, velour pillows and dark colours. She already had sliding doors, but behind them there was chaos. The original standard drawer system was far from practical and the closet rod was about to collapse as it was completely overloaded.

- I had given up on keeping it in order, which made it really hard to find things. It got to the point where I just squeezed more and more things into the drawers. And I was just waiting for the closet rod to collapse any day, Kathrine says.

Kathrine started off by sorting all her belongings. The things that were out of season were stored elsewhere and things that were not in use were either sold, thrown, or given away.

- It was surprisingly satisfying to sort through all my things. And it is nice to think that somebody else will find joy in the things I don’t use, she says. 

Interior in Graphite

For storage behind the sliding doors, the choice fell on Elfa’s top hung Click-in system in Graphite - a dark grey finish that goes perfectly with the dark walls and Kathrine’s style in the hallway. Kathrine’s storage solution now has gliding mesh drawers with dividers. This makes it easier to organize all the accessories. And of course, finding things in the morning rush is easier when scarves, purses and mittens have a dedicated space.

Wire shelves is perfect in the hallway. They are durable, easy to clean and you can easily see what is on the top shelf.

Shoe shelves
With Kathrine’s the impressive range of shoes, gliding shoe shelves is a must.

- I am very pleased with how it all turned out. Love that I finally have a hallway in order, and not the least, I love the colour of the storage system. I can even have the sliding doors opened and not feel bad about it.
