2 new unique hotels in charming Skudeneshavn

Skudeneshavn, nestled like a gem on the southern tip of Karmøy, has always offered a truly unique atmosphere and charm. Now, with the addition of two new hotel options, it has become an attractive destination - not only in the summer but throughout the entire year.

Due to the opening of Havn Hotel and Gamlekaien this spring, Skudeneshavn has experienced a boost in terms of hotel capacity and the range of unique activities available.

"We have not just one but two new hotels in little Skudeneshavn, which is absolutely fantastic! For Saltråk, it's incredibly fun and positive that both are located right by the sea with access to their own docks. We have a good collaboration, and I truly believe that more guests will discover our unique activities and business through these accommodations," says Cathrine Skaar Rantaniitty, who runs the store Saltråk and offers guided SUP tours in Skudeneshavn.

Hotel and Restaurant by the Harbor

Havn Hotel is situated in the heart of Skudeneshavn. It is a hotel where comfort and style go hand in hand. The hotel has a total of 7 rooms; 5 double rooms and 2 suites. Additionally, the hotel has its own restaurant, Havn Restaurant, serving tasty seafood, juicy meat dishes, and tempting vegetarian options, all to be enjoyed with a beautiful view of the harbor.

Havn Hotel also offers two Renault Twizys for rent, each with a capacity of 2 persons, allowing you to explore the surrounding area in a fun way. Through the hotel, you can also book time in the Bade-Olena sauna.

Tiina Vormestrand, the manager at Havn Hotel, adds that the two new accommodations mean a lot for the local business community.

Guesthouse Radiating Elegance and Style

Gamlekaien is located in what is said to be one of the oldest buildings in Skudeneshavn. This historical site has been renovated to become a guesthouse radiating elegance and style. Gamlekaien offers 6 unique rooms, each with its own bathroom, and a dining room with a capacity for 24 people. Guests can enjoy a delicious homemade breakfast prepared by the "manageress," as they call her here.

For Skudeneshavn, these places have also brought much more activity, including businesses utilizing the facilities at both locations. This, in turn, means that people get to see Skudeneshavn in a work context and often return here for private visits.
