Jølstraholmen Goes All-In on Luxury Lodging and Adventure Tourism

Jølstraholmen’s Next Chapter: From Hidden Gem to World-Class Retreat

– Jølstraholmen, a hidden gem in Fjord Norway, is making a bold move to become a premier destination for national and international travelers. With a 20-million-NOK investment, the site is expanding its offerings to include high-end accomodation, a welcoming reception area, a restaurant, a bar, an activity center, and exclusive wellness facilities.

«We want to create a destination for travellers and explorers who appreciate quality accommodation and a good and honest meal», says Kristine, owner of Jølstraholmen. «With this expansion, we are elevating the guest experience while staying true to the natural beauty and authenticity of our surroundings».

The restaurant, which seats up to 100 people, is open every day throughout the summer season, and Kristine and Tore hope it will be enjoyed by both tourists and locals.

The restaurant will serve a three-course set menu every evening at 7:00 PM during the summer season. "Remember to book a table the day before," says Kristine.

In addition to dinner, guests will also be able to enjoy breakfast and lunch. However, breakfast must be ordered the day before.

The restaurant is a beautiful venue that can also be used for events such as confirmations, weddings, or corporate gatherings.
"We have three meeting rooms that can also be used for private dinner parties, as well as an activity room with shuffleboard, darts, and other games. We also have our own bar and a reception area with tourist information, so guests will be well taken care of," says Kristine.

A Hub for Luxury, Wellness, and Adventure

The new development includes:

  • A central reception and welcome center for seamless guest experiences
  • A stylish bar and lounge offering local flavors and social spaces
  • A restaurant that offers honest and home made meals - based on local and seasonal food
  • An activity hub and event space for adventure seekers and group gatherings
  • Luxury river suites and farmhouse suites, riverside chalets and high-end lodgesfor a premium stay
  • Yoga and wellness facilities for relaxation and mindfulness in nature

A Destination in Itself

Jølstraholmen is positioning itself not just as a stopover, but as a reason to go. With a unique blend of high-end comfort and unspoiled nature, guests can experience the best of Norwegian hospitality in a serene and scenic environment. Whether it’s unwinding in a riverside sauna, joining a guided adventure, rent a kayak to go for a trip on the lake or a bike along the lake, or enjoying a yoga retreat, Jølstraholmen offers a complete experience tailored to modern travelers.

Grand Opening and Booking Information

The new facilities are set to open in May / June, with bookings already available. For more information, visit www.jolstraholmen.com or contact the front desk at +47 95297879.
