Press invite Alliance forces train on Gotland 19th-20th May
During the exercise Swift Response 25 allied forces from the UK, U.S. and Sweden will train together on the island of Gotland. It will be the first time a live fire exercise with the rocket artillery systems HIMARS and MLRS are conducted on the island.
Media are invited to follow the exercise during the evening of 19th May with continuation during the early hours of the 20th May. The event will be concluded Monday AM.
There will be opportunities to follow the live fire, air drop with paratroopers, tactical landing on road and blank fire exercises and interviews with flag officers from respective nations will be possible.
Meeting point: Scandic Hotel Visby, followed by transport by bus.
Time: Monday May 19th 1600hrs-2000hrs, continued Tuesday May 20th 0300hrs-1000hrs. Exact times may be subject to change.
