  • Swedish fighters in dual interceptions of Russian aircraft

    On Friday, the Swedish Air Force's Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) conducted two scrambles with JAS 39 Gripen fighter jets to intercept Russian military aircraft over the Baltic Sea near Swedish airspace.

  • U.S. Army conducts coordinated Micro High-Altitude Balloon training during exercise Aurora 26

    During the Swedish-led exercise Aurora 26 - U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to Multi-Domain Command – Europe will conduct a training event with Micro High-Altitude Balloons in coordination with NATO Allies in early May.

    The Swedish Air Force Rangers are participating in the Danish exercise series Arctic Endurance 26 in Greenland. The unit redeployed last week using transport aircraft from Sweden to strengthen security in the area and to practice the defense of NATO’s northern flank.

    On October 23 and 24, the Swedish Armed Forces invites the media to visit the South Skåne Regiment and the battalion that will be deployed in Latvia as part of NATO's Forward Land Forces early next year. This troop contribution is Sweden’s first as a member of the alliance.
