For ‘Inner Freedom – Social Responsibility: Finding Paths to a Human Future’ more than 1000 Waldorf educators will take part in the World Teachers‘ Conference at the Goetheanum from 15 to 19 April. The first Waldorf School was founded 100 years ago, the International Association of Waldorf Kindergartens 50 years ago.
More personal responsibility for employees, commitment to the diversity of members, finances on the right track, reconfirmation of treasurer Justus Wittich – these are the themes that were discussed at the General Assembly of the General Anthroposophical Society held from 11th to 13rd April.
The first project supported by the World Goetheanum Association is the Goetheanum Leadership School. The Association‘s partners are currently exploring new forms of cooperation, criteria for meaningful action and the responsible use of social and natural resources.
The Speisehaus at the Goetheanum is a pioneer in offering organic and biodynamic quality vegetarian wholefoods. For conferences it is now replacing supplies of cups made of paper and plastic with china.
The Goetheanum Leadership School is aimed at self mastery as a prerequisite for the management of companies and groups as well as for the exercise of social responsibility. The founders include Jean-Michel Florin, a educator of farmers, Katrin Käufer, a postdoctoral scientist, and Paul Mackay, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Weleda.
For Ronja Eis (21) and Till Höffner (20) courage is needed especially in adolescence: courage to stand up for oneself, but also courage to meet others. They invite students aged between 15 and 19 to courageously engage themselves in our globalized world.
The research results show that biodynamic agriculture has an influence on many fields of life – it contributes for example towards improving food quality, advancing animal well being and stabilising the climate.
