A new direct service between Sweden and Asia is due to commence tomorrow, operated by the G6 Alliance. Ships will call at APM Terminals, the container terminal at the Port of Gothenburg, once a week.

Substantial fall in sulphur emissions in Gothenburg
Measurements at the Port of Gothenburg show that sulphur emissions from ships have fallen by 80 per cent since stricter rules came into force at the turn of the year.

Port of Gothenburg new export port for Volvo cars to Russia and China
The Port of Gothenburg will be the new export port for Volvo cars to Finland, Russia and China. This will result in a new service to Finland and Russia and an increase in volume of around 30,000 cars each year.

Swedish exports to Morocco are on the increase. The shipping company Seago Line is about to establish a new service to Casablanca and Agadir in Morocco. Swedish forest products and engineering products are just two examples of the freight that will be transported using this new service.

New deep sea service between the Port of Gothenburg and Japan
The Port of Gothenburg has acquired a new deep sea service to Japan. The service will be operated by the newly formed 2M Alliance – MSC and Maersk Line. Japan is a major importer of Swedish forest products.
