ICCO Formalises Long-Term Partnership with EACD
London, 22 April 2025 – The International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO) has officially formalised its long-standing collaboration with the European Association of Communication Directors (EACD) by welcoming EACD as an Associate Partner. This partnership strengthens the cooperation between the two organisations, providing a structured framework to enhance joint efforts on key industry challenges.
ICCO and EACD have worked together for years, supporting each other’s initiatives and actively participating in global events that shape the communications industry. Their collaboration has included joint efforts on key industry challenges such as misinformation, media literacy, and professional standards. EACD was among the organisations that signed ICCO’s Media Information and Education Pledge in 2023, reinforcing a shared commitment to tackling misinformation, fostering ethical communication practices, and promoting education within companies and the wider public.
Kim Larsen, EACD President stated:
"We welcome this partnership with ICCO as a way to further strengthen the future of the communication profession and shape the industry together."
Andras Sztaniszlav, CEO ICCO, said:
“Our collaboration with EACD has developed over the years through shared initiatives and mutual support on key industry matters. This formal partnership provides a structured foundation to continue and expand these efforts. ICCO primarily represents the consultancy leg of the market, mainly through national PR associations and has recently evolved to include new membership types, such as agency networks. At the same time, EACD is focusing more on in-house professionals and serves a different membership base, making our collaboration a powerful complement. At a time of rapid technological advancements, geopolitical challenges, and the increasing spread of misinformation, strong alliances between communication organisations are more essential than ever. ICCO is formalising partnerships and refining its structure, and this agreement with EACD marks a significant step in that direction.”
As an Associate Partner, EACD will work alongside ICCO to develop industry standards, share best practices, and drive professional excellence in communications. This partnership aligns with both organisations’ commitment to fostering ethical, effective, and forward-thinking communications.
