London, 22 May 2025 – The International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO) is pleased to announce the appointment of Arun Sudhaman as Non-Executive Chair, in an ambassadorial capacity, effective immediately. This newly established role reflects ICCO’s commitment to expanding its global footprint and strengthening its organisational structure during a critical period of transition.

Appointed by the ICCO Executive Committee (ExCo), the Non-Executive Chair role is designed to support the President and represent ICCO in a front-facing capacity, helping advance the organisation’s strategic goals, particularly around content, thought leadership and major membership events.

Arun Sudhaman brings a wealth of experience to ICCO, having served as the CEO and Editor-in-Chief of PRovoke Media, where he played a pivotal role in elevating the global PR industry through insightful journalism, thought leadership, and convening key conversations around the future of communications. As current CEO of PRomise Foundation and Founding Editor of Earned First, his deep understanding of the communications landscape, along with his extensive international network, make him uniquely suited to support ICCO’s ambition of reinforcing its global standing.

ICCO President Grzegorz Szczepanski said:
"Arun’s appointment marks an important step in accelerating ICCO’s global leadership agenda. As a greatly respected figure in the PR industry, he will play a key role in helping us grow our international membership and forge meaningful partnerships with strategic stakeholders beyond our existing relationships with the Council of Europe and UNDP, strengthening ICCO’s position as the global voice of our profession.”

Arun Sudhaman commented:
"I'm honored to take on this responsibility with ICCO at such an important moment for our industry. Our profession faces both exciting opportunities and significant challenges, and ICCO has a vital role to play in shaping standards, fostering collaboration and elevating the strategic importance of communications across global markets.”

The appointment is effective immediately and forms part of ICCO’s transitional roadmap toward long-term stability and growth. With Arun Sudhaman joining in this pivotal role, we look ahead with optimism and a renewed sense of purpose for the future of ICCO and the global communications industry.
