Visa Europe's Irish Consumer Spending Index - 7 March 2016

Growth of Irish household expenditure stepped up a gear in February, according to Visa Europe's Irish Consumer Spending Index. Spending was up +11.3% year-on-year across all payment types (cash, cheques and electronic payments), faster than the +7.5% seen in January and the steepest recorded in the 18-month series history, surpassing the previous best from November last year.
