PTSB extends partnership with Visa to bring new digital capabilities and enhanced fraud protection to customers

• Partnership renewal will help drive growth across retail and SMB customer segments

Dublin, Wednesday 10^thJune, 2026 – Visa announces today that it has been chosen by PTSB to deliver Debit and Credit solutions to both its retail and small business customers. The renewed partnership builds on a longstanding trust and shared ambition to deliver digital innovation, growth and enhanced customer protections in Ireland.

As part of the new agreement, Visa will expand its support for PTSB’s Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) customers, by delivering a broader range of business payment solutions, alongside its business debit offering. Visa will continue to drive growth in retail issuing for PTSB, while introducing new digital capabilities to deliver next generation customer experiences. These include enhanced digitised onboarding and in-app features that empower customers to take greater control of their money. This builds on existing controls including the ability to restrict gambling transactions enabled by Visa Transaction Controls.

PTSB will also leverage a broad suite of Visa’s fraud and risk solutions to detect and prevent fraud, helping provide greater protection for its customers while ensuring the journey stays effortless. Using Visa Risk Manager, PTSB can set controls, monitor card transactions and take action on suspicious activity, while Visa’s ARIC Risk Hub will enable PTSB to use AI and behavioural analytics to identify fraud activity earlier and strengthen resilience.
