    　ヤマハ発動機株式会社の「親子エンジン分解組立教室」が、このたび「第13回キッズデザイン賞」（主催：キッズデザイン協議会、後援：経済産業省、消費者庁）を受賞しました。当社の同賞の受賞は、2015年の子ども向け車いす用電動アシストユニット「JWX-2」、2016年の幼児用組立式プール「ユニットプールきらきら」、2017年の「親子バイク教室」に続き4度目です。
    　「親子エンジン分解組立教室」は、本物の小型エンジン（100cc）や工具を教材に、自らの手で分解・組立を体験しながら、部品の名称やそれぞれの役割、エンジンの仕組みやパワー出力の原理、正しく安全な工具の使い方、作業手順や整理整頓を総合的に身につける教室です。子どもたちの理科離れ、機械離れが指摘される昨今、本教室を通じて子どもたちがものづくりや機械の仕組みに興味を持ち、創意工夫の大切さ、やり遂げた際の達成感を実感できるようにカ
