JYSK invests in mattress training for 23,000 store employees

JYSK wants to be the customers’ first choice when looking for a new mattress. That is why 23,000 store employees in JYSK will get mattress sales training.

A great Scandinavian offer within sleeping and living.

That is the core of JYSK, and especially mattresses and other products for sleeping is an area of high strategic focus in JYSK. Therefore, JYSK has introduced Sleep Academy to invest further in training of all 23,000 store employees to give them even more knowledge about mattresses and other sleeping products.

JYSK Sleep Academy consists of two training modules of several working days and will take place every year in all JYSK countries. In the trainings, the participants will get a deeper knowledge about sleeping products such as pressure on body, temperature regulators and body support. Afterwards the participants will train their colleagues in the local stores.

“No-one has ever become world champion without lots of practice. That is why we decided to have JYSK Sleep Academy, so we can make sure that all of our store employees have the knowledge to sell the customer the right mattress taking individual needs into account,” says Retail Operational Director, Michael Olesen.

Customers first choice

Sleep Academy takes place in all JYSK countries in November and December 2021, and the goal is both to develop our employees and make sure that customers in JYSK will be met by competent employees who can guide them to the right products for a good night’s sleep.

“Mattresses is one of our core products, and we want to be the customers first choice when looking for a new mattress. Therefore, I am very happy that we continuously train our store colleagues to be able to give a professional and competent service to our customers,” says Ruben Faarup Christensen, Purchasing Director, Mattresses.
