JYSK reaches 300 stores in Poland

The global home furnishing chain JYSK continues to expand on the Polish market and opened its 300th store on 10 April 2024. The goal is to reach 500 stores in Poland.

The grand opening of the 300th store in Warsaw was attended by President and CEO of JYSK, Rami Jensen, who, together with the Country Director and Store Manager, cut a symbolic ribbon and invited the first customers to shop at the new store.

“I am very happy to participate today in the celebration and opening of the JYSK store number 300 in Poland. Expansion is in our DNA, and as our second-largest country based on the number of stores, it is great to experience how Poland is growing and delivering our great offers to even more customers in the country,” says President and CEO of JYSK, Rami Jensen.

First store in 2000

The first JYSK store in Poland was established in 2000 in Gdańsk. Since then, millions of Polish customers have visited the JYSK stores located in smaller and larger cities every year, taking advantage of the chain’s many great Scandinavian offers within sleeping and living.

“We want to be as close to our customers as possible, which is why expansion is important to us. Through new stores, we give customers the opportunity to get to know our products directly, inspire with ready-made home arrangements, and advise customers in choosing the best solutions. Our employees undergo many trainings to better support each customer and meet their needs,” says Piotr Padalak, Country Director of JYSK Poland.

The location of store number 300 was chosen in a quickly expanding area of Warsaw with many new residents. Therefore, the demand for the range of home furnishings is constantly increasing.

Next goal is 500 stores

According to the plan, JYSK wants to open approximately 22 new stores in Poland in the current financial year, which ends in August. Ultimately, JYSK plans to open 500 stores on the Polish market, depending on the market situation and the dynamics of e-commerce development.

“I would like to thank all employees, because each new store opening, not just number 300, is a joint effort and commitment that allows us to develop so dynamically for our customers. Thank you for your daily energy and professionalism,” said Piotr Padalak during a briefing with employees, just before the opening.
