Liseberg amusement park in Sweden recently carried out The Peak Fear Experiment, and the research report from the experiment is now being released. Among other things, the results show that recreational fear can have benefits both for health and personal development.
On Wednesday evening, two volunteers carried out The Peak Fear Experiment within and outside the grounds of Swedish amusement park Liseberg. The successfully completed experiment will provide plenty of valuable new knowledge, according to the team of Danish researchers overseeing it. However, one participant almost did not complete the experiment.
After an extensive selection process, two people have been chosen to take part in Liseberg’s ‘Peak Fear Experiment’. More than 1,640 applications were received from 22 countries, and the jury finally chose two participants for ‘The Peak Fear Experiment’ – Vicki Bååth, a teacher from Gamleby, Sweden and Helge Branscheidt, a hair- & makeup artist from Hamburg, Germany.
