Lime sharpens their offer with yet another acquisition

The CRM company Lime (previously Lundalogik) is acquiring the company Sparta from a renowned group of owners, including Johan Attby, founder of Fishbrain, Jonathan Forster, Spotify’s former Head of European Market, and Martin Ingemansson, Facebook’s Head of Nordic market. Customer care expert Lime will thus reinforce their competence in gamification whilst more competent developers join the team.

In 2017, Lime acquired the companies Netoptions and RemoteX, to reinforce their competence in marketing automation and mobile case management.– Lime’s growth has mainly been organic since the start in 1990 and will continue to be so. When we make this type of acquisition, it is to fuel up on knowledge for an even faster organic growth with even stronger offers for the market. So far, it has proved to be a successful concept, says Erik Syrén, CEO for Lime.

Sparta was founded in 2013 by James Pember and has 6 employees. The company helps businesses improve their results with digital sales competitions, among others, on their online platform. Their customers include DI, MTG and Vattenfall. The Sparta-team is now moving less than 2 km, from Götgatan to Lime’s Stockholm-office at Kungsbroplan.

– Lime is the perfect owner. Our joint mission is to change the behaviour and way of working in companies in order for them to reach their full potential. After trying to sell our product as an add-on, we have now reached the conclusion that our product is even better when it is part of a larger comprehensive offer, says James Pember, Sparta’s founder.

Lime is one of the market leaders in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) in the Nordics. The company has a turnover of a quarter of a billion. The acquisition of Sparta comes shortly after officially announcing the new partners Swedbank Roburs Microcap and the business angel Martin Gren. The investment company Monterro and Lime’s Board of Directors have been the principal owners since 2014.
