Press release -
The Swedish construction platform Projektportalen partners with Monterro to accelerate the digitalization of the construction and installation industry.
Monterro, the Nordics’ leading B2B software investor, has acquired a majority stake in the Swedish company Projektportalen, which offers an easy-to-use project tool and business system for the construction and installation industry. The partnership allows Projektportalen to accelerate growth and help more construction and installation firms streamline their projects and operations.
Projektportalen helps construction and installation companies achieve better margins and reduce paperwork.
The founders of Projektportalen come from the industry, which provides a deep understanding of the businesses’ daily challenges. The platform is user-friendly and offers a range of features and integrations that enable full control over projects from start to finish. It is also easy to follow up and analyze projects and service orders in real-time, reducing the need for time-consuming paperwork. As a result, Projektportalen has quickly become a very popular tool for streamlining and achieving more profitable operations, an important factor, especially in times of macroeconomic uncertainty and low margins.
Projektportalen is ready to expand and help more customers achieve a more profitable and sustainable daily operation.
Together with Monterro, Projektportalen is now ready to take the next step in further developing its platform and offering digital services to even more businesses in the construction and installation industry.
"We have followed Projektportalen for a long time, and it is a very fine company," says Gustav Lagercrantz, CEO of Monterro and incoming chairman of Projektportalen. "They have good growth with profitability and very satisfied customers. Additionally, we see a continued strong digitalization trend in the industry. All of this makes us see fantastic potential for Projektportalen. It will be very exciting to support them on their journey ahead."
Monterro supports with capital and its own experience in successfully scaling software companies.
Monterro has unique experience in scaling B2B software companies. Two-thirds of the company have operational backgrounds in the software industry, and they have successfully supported and developed more than twenty portfolio companies in the growth phase, including a business system tailored for the construction industry.
"Monterro is a perfect partner for us. They have both domain expertise from B2B software and an understanding of the construction industry from previous experience," says Martin Ahlström, founder of Projektportalen. "Digitalization is steadily increasing in the construction industry, and with Monterro, we can get the support and capacity we need to quickly scale up our operations. Our product has proven to create great value for our customers. Thanks to the partnership, we now have access to a toolbox with more tools than we had before, which allows us to help even more businesses streamline their operations."
With the acquisition, Monterro becomes the main owner. The founders and operational owners remain as significant owners.
