NGK Leader Driving EnerCera Battery Business Named Finalist for Women Leaders in Electronics Awards 2026
Nagoya, Japan — March 25, 2026 — NGK INSULATORS, LTD. today announced that Chiori Suzuki, who leads global battery application development for its EnerCera lithium-ion rechargeable battery business, has been named a finalist for the Women Leaders in Electronics Awards 2026, presented by Electronics Weekly (UK), in the category of Management / Small Team Leader of the Year.
The award recognizes outstanding leadership by individuals who have demonstrated excellence in managing specialized teams and delivering measurable impact within the electronics industry.
Suzuki serves as Manager of Battery Applications within NGK’s New Value (NV) Business Development division, where she has played a central role in advancing the global commercialization of EnerCera, a next-generation lithium-ion rechargeable battery. EnerCera enables compact, high-performance, and energy-efficient solutions for emerging applications such as IoT devices and wearable electronics.
She has led cross-functional teams spanning Japan, the United States, and Europe, working closely with semiconductor manufacturers, electronics OEMs, and a wide range of partners—from large enterprises to startups—to accelerate the adoption and development of EnerCera-related technologies. Her selection as a finalist reflects her leadership in driving global business expansion, fostering inclusive and collaborative teams, and contributing to innovation in next-generation electronics.
