Watch the 1000 mph car make its first public run

A car that can go 1000 mph (1,609 km/h) and inspire a new generation of engineers and scientists. That is the idea behind Bloodhound SSC, and that Nammo is proud to be part of. Building on 60 years of experience designing some of the world´s most powerful compact rocket motors, we have spent the past ten years perfecting a new generation of motors fueled by hydrogen peroxide - a low-cost and green alternative to traditional liquid fueled systems that will be able to fit inside Bloodhound, allowing it to go supersonic at ground level.

While the rocket-powered World Land Speed Record attempt will not happen until later, the car is now ready to proceed with its first public runs. This happens at Newquay airport in the UK, where the car will reach of 200 mph using only its jet engine. The first run is planned for 13:15 UK time, with the live stream starting at 12:30. You can watch the live stream below, or by clicking this link.
