NHST- KONSERNETS UTVIKLING I TREDJE KVARTAL 2019
Omstillingen i NHST Media Group fortsatte i tredje kvartal 2019 for å sikre økte digitale brukerinntekter, bedre lønnsomhet og høyere veksttakt framover.
Konsernet nådde en omsetning på 288,4 millioner kroner i tredje kvartal og fikk et driftsresultat på minus 15,0 millioner kroner, sammenlignet med henholdsvis 318,0 millioner kroner og minus
(Oslo, 2. september 2019) Louise Barnekow er utnevnt til administrerende direktør i Mynewsdesk AB, en stilling hun har vært konstituert i siden slutten av fjoråret. Hun vil inngå som en del av konsernledelsen i NHST Media Group. Etter 12 år i NHST, har strategiansvarlig Andreas Emblem valgt å slutte for å søke nye utfordringer utenfor konsernet.

NHST Media Group er midt i en omfattende omstillingsprosess som skal sikre økt andel digitale brukerinntekter, bedre lønnsomhet og økt veksttakt på lengre sikt. Resultatene for andre kvartal 2019 var påvirket av denne prosessen. Konsernet leverte en omsetning på 301,3 millioner kroner og et driftsresultat på 10,8 millioner kroner i andre kvartal, sammenlignet med henholdsvis 332,5 millioner kroner
Baard Haugen (63) er ansatt i stillingen som konserndirektør med ansvar for økonomi og finans (Group CFO) i NHST Media Group AS. Han kommer fra tilsvarende stilling i industriselskapet Elopak. Haugen tiltrer senest i begynnelsen av september og blir en del av konsernledelsen i NHST.
Utviklingen i NHST Media Group er preget av at konsernet er midt i omstillingsprosessen for å bedre lønnsomheten, sikre fremtidige digitale inntektsstrømmer og øke veksten. Omstillingen påvirker alle deler av organisasjonen, i tillegg til topplinjen og resultatene. Helle Øverbye (46) er ansatt i nyopprettet stilling som ny konserndirektør med ansvar for HR & kommunikasjon (Chief People & Communications Officer) i NHST Media Group AS. Hun kommer fra stillingen som Head of People Strategy & Development i Schibsted, hvor hun har jobbet siden 2015. Øverbye tiltrer stillingen 1. august 2019 og blir en del av konsernledelsen i NHST
Fjerde kvartal viste en resultatnedgang med EBITDA på MNOK 11,4 (20,1) og en EBITDA-margin på 3,4% (5,8%). Tilbakegangen skyldes hovedsakelig utviklingen i Mynewsdesk og Norske publikasjoner, samt avskrivinger på goodwill relatert til Mention kjøpet.
Driftsinntektene i fjerde kvartal var MNOK 331 (348,1), 5% lavere enn samme periode forrige år. Det var tilbakegang i Norske publikasjoner med 4%
(11. desember 2018) Louise Barnekow, Mynewsdesk’s Chief Product Officer, tar over som interim CEO for selskapet. Mattias Malmström, som har vært selskapets CEO siden 2015, har besluttet å forlate Mynewsdesk til fordel for andre karrieremuligheter. Endringene skjer med virkning fra i dag.
Omsetningen i tredje kvartal var 3 % høyere enn samme periode forrige år. Veksten skyldes en positiv utvikling i annonseinntektene som vokste 21 % i kvartalet. Det var digitale annonseinntekter som var hovedårsaken til veksten, men det var også klar fremgang i papirbaserte annonser i Globale publikasjoner. Abonnementsinntektene var tilbake 2 % i kvartalet. NHST Media Group AS har inngått en avtale om salg av Nautisk Forlag AS sin virksomhet til Stormgeo AS. Gjennomføring av transaksjonen avhenger av at visse standard avtalemessige betingelser oppfylles og overføringen av virksomheten vil finne sted i løpet av den neste måneden eller så snart som er praktisk mulig.
