Thanks to everybody who attended our #UNOC3 Accredited Side event Thursday 5th of June in the #BeyondBorders pavilion in the UNOC Green Zone.
We had a fantastic 4hrs discussing what funders mean by ocean literacy, and how scientists and interdisciplinary teams can engage with different target groups strategically using ocean literacy approaches to improve our impact and societal ocean literacy.
We spent two hours networking between ocean scientists, potential funders, ocean literacy practitioners and researchers, to swap our toolkits and discuss our different needs. We covered ocean literacy with fishers, researchers, decision-makers, managers, policy makers, ECOP, boaters, racers, chefs, musicians, artists, the public, and many more.
Take home messages will follow next week, as we learn more through UNOC, but in the mean time, thank you to all the fabulous contributors.
