Press release -

Northern Offshore Services takes delivery of second I-Class vessel Improver.

The second N-O-S I-Class CTV has arrived. Its flexible design will allow it to adapt to new technologies and energy solutions, making the vessel future-proof. The investment is a step toward reaching zero emissions by 2050.

After the successful launch of M/V Impresser in the autumn of 2024, the sister vessel M/V Improver has now been delivered and launched for service in European waters. The vessel is N-O-S’ design, based on many years of experience in the offshore wind industry, with the guiding principles being flexibility, efficiency and performance.

The I-Class vessels meet future demands

The I-Class vessels can transform over their life cycle through propulsion conversions that allow them to adapt to hybrid, fully electric, renewable, or future alternative fuel solutions without having to rebuild. Enhanced maneuverability and thrust from the propulsion system make it ideal for the challenging conditions typically seen at offshore wind farms. The vessel is designed with comfort in mind, through high-quality interior outfitting and furbishing, to create the feeling of a home away from home during longer operations at sea.

“Our crew and their well-being are very important to us. On these vessels, we have put significant effort into improving the work environment on board to ensure that our employees have a comfortable, modern and safe workplace,” says David Kristensson, Group CEO of Northern Offshore Group.
