PaperShell participates in the NATO Summit Defence Industry Forum in Ankara

PaperShell is today participating in the NATO Summit Defence Industry Forum (NSDIF26) in Ankara following an invitation from the Swedish Ministry of Defence. The company is one of a select group of Swedish participants alongside Saab, Aimpoint, BAE Systems Bofors, GKN Aerospace, SSC and SOFF.

The invitation reflects the rapid transformation currently taking place across Europe's defence industrial base. The war in Ukraine has demonstrated that innovation, industrial capability and the ability to rapidly develop and scale new solutions have become critical to Europe's security. At the same time, the need for resilient European supply chains and technologies that strengthen both defence capability and societal resilience continues to grow.

PaperShell develops advanced bio-based materials and an industrial production platform designed to rapidly scale the manufacturing of structural components for both civilian and defence applications. Earlier this year, PaperShell signed a grant agreement for up to EUR 40.3 million under the EU Innovation Fund (IF24) to establish a new flagship manufacturing facility in Tibro, Sweden. The investment will expand Europe's production capacity for advanced bio-based materials and create a replicable model for the next generation of resilient industry.
