The Swedish company Plantagon is in the finals for the Red Herring Top 100 Global Award

STOCKHOLM, November 27, 2012 - The Swedish company Plantagon, creator of the Plantagon Greenhouse for urban agriculture, is in the finals for the Red Herring Top 100 Global Award. 

The Red Herring editorial team selected the Finalists for the 2012 Red Herring 100 Global Award. This group of companies is the short list for the Top 100 award. They are the most innovative and promising companies from a pool of thousands from across North America, Europe and Asia. The Finalists are evaluated on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technology innovation, quality of management, IP creation, CAGR, execution of strategy, and disruption in their respective industries.

After one final stage of judging – a live presentation at the Red Herring Global Forum in Los Angeles on November 27-29 – the 2012 Top 100 Global Winners will be selected. The formal announcement will occur at a special award dinner on November 29 at the event.

In Los Angeles representing Plantagon in the finals are Mr. Shrikant Ramakrishnan, Area Manager for Plantagon in Asia, Africa and India, and Tadodaho Sidney Hill, Six Nations Confederacy, Onondaga Nation, representing Plantagon's Board and owners, the Onondaga Nation. 

Plantagon has recently been acknowledged by the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce N.Y. 2012 Deloitte Green Award - The Silver Stevie Award for Most Innovative Company in Europe 2012 - The CEO of the Year Award Sweden 2012, by European CEO - Winner of the 2011 Red Herring Top 100 Europe.
