Projectplace gets a makeover

Projectplace's users are in for a new experience when using the project tool. The company has implemented the largest design update ever. The users themselves have taken part in the process and influenced the new look.

Projectplace has a new graphic design - a modern design with new colours and interface that supports a better user experience for the users. This is the most extensive update of the design, ever made by Projectplace.

- We want our new interface to look and feel fresh, modern and professional. We have been a service on the web for more than ten years now, and it's important to keep on developing in order to stay attractive to our users. That is the reason for engaging them in the process of developing the new design, says Mattias Hällström, founder and Manager of Product Development.

In June Projectplace asked their users for feedback on the new design. The company expected input from around 150 people, but more than 1500 users showed an interest in testing the new design. A group of 600 people fully answered the survey and the general impression was a very positive user experience. Users felt that the new design was modern, professional, distinct, fast, and fun to work in. The feedback also contributed to further improvements in the design.

- When it comes to design and function, we want to be in the lead. We want to simplify processes and help our customers to work more efficiently. Our interface shall always feel inviting and alive to work in, says Martin Rosell, Visual Designer at Projectplace and responsible for the new design concept.

In the project tool the design and look has changed drastically:
- Updated icons
- A more modern colour scheme
- Different tones of black, grey and white as background colours
- Blue as an accent colour. To enhance the business feeling
- Larger contrasts between heading and text

Previously this fall Projectplace also adapted the design to the website according to the new design: www.projectplace.com
