Press invitation Red Dot Gala 2024

Dear ladies and gentlemen,

This year’s Red Dot Gala will take place on 24 June 2024. We cordially invite you as a representative of the press to attend this unique event in Essen, Germany.

The award ceremony will focus on the best designers and design-oriented companies of the year. They will receive their Red Dot Trophy of Excellence in the Aalto Theatre as winners of the highest award. The event will be hosted by Red Dot founder and CEO Professor Dr Peter Zec together with representatives of the Red Dot jury. At the grand finale of the gala, Thule will be honoured as Design Team of the Year.

Afterwards, all guests are invited to the after-show party, the “Designers' Night”. This will take place in and around the Red Dot Design Museum Essen. In addition to the opportunity to meet the award winners, the special exhibitions featuring this year’s winners will be presented to the public for the first time. Of particular note is the exhibition “Thule Design Team – Designing for an active life” specially created by Thule, which brings the work of the Design Team of the Year to life.

The award-winning vehicles, such as the Ferrari Roma and the Volvo EX30, will be on display in a separate hall exclusively for the evening of the awards ceremony. The TATRA FORCE 4x4, an award-winning fire engine from the Czech Republic, will also be on display.

The event at a glance
The Red Dot Award Ceremony is an extraordinary event with great appeal. We are expecting more than 1,500 international guests at the Aalto Theatre in Essen and the Red Dot Design Museum, which is located on the grounds of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Zeche Zollverein.

Registration for the event
You can submit your accreditation request until 18 June 2024 via this web form. In order to process your request, we need your name and the medium for which you wish to report, as well as brief information on whether you will be attending alone or accompanied by a photo or camera team.

We ask for your understanding that press places are very limited and that we cannot confirm every request. You will receive your press tickets and entry details by e-mail in the week before the event.
