Winners of the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2026 announced

Media representatives can now request tailored extracts from the competition results for their reporting

The decisions in the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2026 have been made. Agencies, companies, in-house teams and independent designers from around the world have received distinctions for brand identities, campaigns and communication projects that impressed the international Red Dot Jury.

Media representatives can now request specific information on award-winning projects, companies, industries, countries or regions. A web form allows them to indicate which topics and markets are relevant to their reporting. Red Dot will then provide a suitable extract from the competition results as soon as possible.

The works awarded a Red Dot or Red Dot: Best of the Best may already be reported on. There is no general embargo. Red Dot will publish the complete list of all winners on 6 November to coincide with the awards ceremony in Berlin.

The recipients of the competition’s highest distinctions will remain confidential until then. The Red Dot: Grand Prix and the Red Dot: Junior Prize, which carries 10,000 euros in prize money, will only be announced during the Red Dot Gala.

Award-winning brands and communication projects from around the world

The Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design is aimed at agencies, companies, in-house teams and independent designers that professionally create and oversee brand identities and communication projects. Both holistic brand identities and completed campaigns and individual projects are assessed.

In 2026, entrants could choose from 18 categories. The submissions ranged from Corporate and Brand Design to Advertising, Packaging, Publishing and Typography, as well as Websites, Apps, Digital Solutions, Film and Animation, and Interface and User Experience Design.

Projects from 52 countries were entered into the competition. Distinctions were awarded to works that stood out for their high level of design and creative quality, as well as their clear and compelling communication.

The distinctions awarded were “Red Dot”, “Red Dot: Best of the Best”, “Red Dot: Grand Prix” and “Red Dot: Junior Prize”.

International experts assess the entries in Essen

The independent Red Dot Jury convened in Essen to assess the submitted works. The international panel consisted of 30 experts from various fields of design, brand development and communication.

Alongside highly experienced jury members, new experts also contributed their professional perspectives to the discussions in 2026. They included Cihan Tamti, Liad Shadmi, Sang In Lee, Silvia D’Alesio and Parasto Backman.

Each competition entry was reviewed individually and assessed through direct discussion among the jury members. The diversity of their disciplines, cultural backgrounds and professional experience formed the basis for a nuanced assessment of the submitted brands and communication projects.

Award ceremony at the Konzerthaus Berlin

On 6 November 2026, the winners of the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2026 will be honoured at the Red Dot Gala at the Konzerthaus Berlin. During the award ceremony, the recipients of the Red Dot: Grand Prix and the Red Dot: Junior Prize will also be announced publicly for the first time.

Afterwards, the international guests will gather at the Designers’ Night to celebrate the award-winning achievements and exchange ideas with representatives of the design and communications industry.

Winning works on display in Essen from 11 December 2026

From 11 December 2026, the award-winning brand identities and communication projects will be presented at the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen. This will give the winners of the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2026 an additional public platform.

What was previously visible primarily as a case study, reel, website or PDF will be brought into a spatial context in the exhibition. International agencies and established brands will meet regional studios, independent designers and emerging initiatives. The exhibition will make the diversity of the award-winning works directly tangible and provide a focused insight into contemporary brand and communication design.
