Discover animals from all over the world: native and exotic new additions to schleich® WILD LIFE
Squirrel, Starfish, and African Lion bring the spirit of discovery into the playroom. schleich® WILD LIFE's detailed figurines and playsets introduce children to animals and their habitats from around the world. Whether native inhabitants familiar from the forest or wild animals from the other side of the world, the twelve new play figurines from WILD LIFE will delight little explorers from March. A special highlight in July are the two discovery sets, which allow children aged three and up to take a close look at insects and sea animals.
The Capybara is an absolute favorite animal and is finally making its way into the children's rooms. This cute rodent from South America looks a bit like an extra-large guinea pig. It has a round body and brown fur.
Large and small forest dwellers
The cute Squirrel is a real climbing genius. It has reddish shimmering fur, a bushy tail, and balances skillfully from branch to branch to gather supplies for the winter. At night, the little Racoon is out and about. It has thick, gray fur and a black and white striped tail. Another characteristic feature is its black face mask, which makes it look like a robber. What will it steal next? The American Wolf and the Elk roam the forests of America. The wolf has gray outer fur and light-colored fur on its belly and legs. Its pointed ears allow it to sense its prey well. Even the elk must be wary of the wolf. Despite its size and magnificent antlers, it is part of the wolf's prey pattern.
Popular animals from the African savannah
Three bestsellers from WILD LIFE will be released in new poses in January. The African Lion looks majestic with its powerful physique and alert gaze. It is not without reason that he is called the king of the animals. You should be wary of the Hippopotamus, because despite its massive body, it can run quite fast. It feels most at home in the water and likes to float around. The cheeky Meerkat, on the other hand, is harmless. It stands curiously on its hind legs and peeks out over the savannah. When danger threatens, its sand-colored fur provides perfect camouflage.
Water friends from all over the world
Who's waddling around so merrily? The Rockhopper Penguin has black plumage, a white belly, and a yellow crest. On land, it is somewhat clumsy due to its large feet. But in the water, it is lightning fast and hunts all kinds of fish. The Sea lion is also known for its hunting skills. When it's not hunting for food, it relaxes on a rock and basks in the warm sun. A real highlight is the Starfish with color change. Its basic color is red, but in warm water it changes color and glows bright yellow. This is a great experiment that little adventurers can easily try out in the bathtub or sink.
Play, admire, understand: the new discovery sets
The new concept of the discovery sets helps children learn about different animals, their characteristics, and their habitats in a playful way. The Insects discovery set contains a ladybug, a blue morpho butterfly, a honeybee, and a grasshopper. What's great is that the insects are larger than the usual schleich® figurines, allowing children to examine their wings, legs, and antennae in detail. With the Sea animals discovery set, little animal lovers can dive into the deep ocean. Clownfish, seahorse, crab, and starfish are normally at home in the sea, but they also enjoy being admired in the playroom.
Children aged three and up can experience exciting stories with the detailed figurines and thrilling playsets from WILD LIFE, allowing their imaginations to run wild in free play.
