Press release -
Lovely accommodation, farm animal families, pets: a warm welcome for the new schleich® FARM WORLD characters and sets
A Collie, a Goat Family, a Plymouth Rock Chicken and many more: the FARM WORLD animals will meet a whole host of new friends in 2025. In January, schleich® releases ten new species into the country’s playrooms, and some of them are quite unique indeed. Also in January, three beloved sets – Rabbit Hutch, Dog Kennel and Pony Box – will be relaunched in a new look and with many cool functions. They are perfect additions to the big farm and will inspire even more imaginative play ideas in FARM WORLD fans.
Green pastures, loving care, close friendships: FARM WORLD is a wonderful place for all animals. Two new dog breeds, a Collie and a Welsh Corgi, will soon experience the same bliss. Both are perfect family dogs that love the company of people or other animals. With their friendly, cheerful nature, the two are sure to make plenty of friends soon.
Bleating and oinking – two new animal families
The farm animals are welcoming new friends, too. The brown and white Goat is highly intelligent – and pretty cheeky to boot. She is currently looking for a tasty snack to feed her adorable Goat Kid – where do you think she will find one? And the little one has already set his eyes on a pair of new friends: the Mangalica and her Mangalica Piglet. The two love being out and about, no matter the weather. Thanks to their dense coats, rain and wind do not bother them at all.
International arrivals
The new species moving into FARM WORLD in January may well be unknown to some. The Plymouth Rock Chicken is an American breed of domestic chicken, characterised by its striking black and white feathers. It will be moving into the chicken coop together with the Asian Silkie Chicken, which has silky-soft beige feathers and a stylish hairdo. The pastures will also be home to two new arrivals: a cuddly Llama Foal, which has travelled all the way from South America to play with his new farm friends, and a Mule, chomping at the bit to get to work. The latter is a crossbreed between a horse and donkey, boasting impressive endurance and strength.
New places to live for dogs, horses and rabbits
The Dog Kennel with Golden Retrievers has had a fresh coat of paint and looks fantastic. With its beautiful shade of red, it blends perfectly into the large barn. The detachable roof makes it easy for children to play with the dogs inside the kennel, and the side door can be opened and used as a platform. From here, the Golden Retriever Female watches while her puppy plays outside. Both are very happy in their home.
The Pony Box with Mustang Mare, which had the same red makeover, attaches to the big farm. Its windows and doors all open, and there are some juicy green apples for the mare to eat. The horse stickers on the outside of the box can be labelled individually so that the children can name their own horses.
And there is yet another new home awaiting its inhabitants. The brand new Rabbit Hutch boasts a host of exciting functions. Its roof can be detached and turned into a see-saw, while the wooden hideaway converts into a slide. Rabbit owners can use little carrot-shaped levers to open and close the doors, and the floor of the stable pulls out for cleaning. The fence contained in the set creates a lovely outdoor enclosure, which can be expanded further using the doors. Of course, there’s also a treat for the rabbits: a fresh carrot and some crunchy lettuce. Absolute bliss for the Lionhead Rabbit and her babies, all contained in the set.
The new FARM WORLD characters and sets are a breath of fresh air for the farm and the playroom. Children aged three and over can bring their imaginative stories to life with the realistic farm animals and pets.
