Wedding bells at the schleich® HORSE CLUB
The playroom is abuzz with festive tunes, excited voices and joyful neighing. Everyone in the house has heard the good news: Emily and Toby are getting married at Lakeside today! The little Haflinger Foal couldn’t be more thrilled: it’s his very first wedding! Who do you think is invited? And what fun activities are planned? The guest list is quite cosmopolitan and includes four new horse breeds that will be available from January 2024. Tori & Princess, who will join the Lakeside Riding Centre in 2024, have had an invitation, too. The guests cannot wait to see the happy couple’s Wedding Carriage, also launching in March, and the new Riding Hall, which will be available to horse fans from July 2024. So many new things: that in itself is a reason to celebrate!
The Friesian Mare is perfectly dolled up for this special day, with flowers adorning her mane. She has heard rumours that her Friesian Stallion and the little Friesian Foal will be joining her soon, and she cannot wait. Together with the Haflinger Foal, she eagerly waits for the new arrivals. Look! The playroom door is opening.
Guests from all over the world
The black Friesian Stallion and his cute child, the Friesian Foal, stride in. After a joyful reunion, the Friesian Mare takes them to their box, entrusting the Haflinger Foal with the next guest. The Mangalarga Marchador Stallion softly ambles into the room, showing off his signature gait, the ‘marcha’. He is quite tired from his long journey all the way from Brazil. Thankfully, he can get some rest before the big event. The next guests have travelled far, too – from the Middle East. The black Arabian Stallion and the snow-white Arabian Mare make a striking pair. With their lively little Arabian Foal, the attractive family is complete. Full of confidence, it trots towards the Haflinger Foal to make friends. The Friesian Mare is back to welcome the last two horses to the party. The Norwegian Fjord Horse Gelding and Norwegian Fjord Horse Mare draw a lot of attention with their distinct dorsal stripes and two-toned manes. To mark the special occasion, the Norwegian Fjord Horse Mare has even trimmed her mane in the shape of little love hearts. Suddenly, someone shouts: stop! Wait for us! Horse Club Tori & Princess, available from March, approach in a fast gallop. The two are running a little late, but it’s easy to see why: Tori has braided her Friesian Mare Princess’s mane into beautiful, elaborate plaits. And they’re still on time for the wedding.
Romantic Wedding Carriage Ride
Finally! The ceremony is about to commence. Music plays, and the door slowly opens. The crowd oohs and aahs as the Lippizaner pulls the stunning Wedding Carriage, available from March, through the lovingly decorated archway. Emily looks gorgeous in her wedding dress, and Toby turns quite a few heads, too. Their outfits are made from real fabric. They are easy to take off and put back on. In the rear of the carriage, the happy couple toast to their special day with a glass of bubbly. Hannah uses the camera that comes with the set to snap a picture of the two lovebirds. The cans tied to the carriage clank and clatter as three white doves suddenly soar into the sky. The Haflinger Foal watches the scene with his mouth wide open: when I’m grown up, I want to get married like this, too!
Opening of the new Riding Hall
The spectacular appearance of the bride and groom is followed by another highlight: the horses and their owners get to celebrate the opening of a new Riding Hall, which will hit the shelves in July. Riding coaches Tom, Sofia and Hannah show their guests around the facilities. The hall has everything you could wish for: a spacious riding arena inside the hall, an open-air paddock and washing area and a large enclosure, which is easy to set up outside thanks to a big set of fences and wooden barriers. The included parcours and care items, saddles, bridles and specialist vaulting equipment make it easy to train your horses and look after them. There are even a dog and a small cat in the hall! The Haflinger Foal curiously studies the learning board and the flashcards contained in the set. The latter show various riding exercises to incorporate into your training.
But there’s no time for practice today: the wedding reception is in full swing. The horses, riders and wedding guests have poured into the hall and the outdoor areas, and everyone is dancing joyfully. A wonderful celebration of all the new highlights coming to the HORSE CLUB.
