Affordable Art Fair Stockholm 2025. New format, new experiences and over 75 Swedish and International exhibitors!
This autumn, Affordable Art Fair Stockholm opens its doors for the thirteenth time, offering an art experience that takes an exciting step forward. By expanding into the adjacent building, the fair gains a significantly larger exhibition space, creating room for even more artworks, culinary experiences and creative collaborations. The new layout enables an even richer and more dynamic experience for visitors, with the encounter between art and audience at its very heart.
Fresh at the Fair, a new curated exhibition concept
Fresh at the Fair is a new concept that will be launched at this year’s fair – a curated collaboration with Roland-Philippe Kretzschmar from The Art Bystander. This special section presents eight carefully selected artists exhibiting at the fair for the very first time: Valtýr Daregard, Josefin Tolstoy, Gustav Hjelmgren, Cajsa Wessberg, Mattias Storm, Zahra Holm, Robert Möllard and Eva Zethraeu.
The exhibition showcases bold and affordable contemporary art, ranging from illustrative to conceptual, and is thoughtfully curated from the placement of the works to the colour of the walls – inspired by colour psychology and art theory.
"With Fresh at the Fair, we want to highlight the voices of the next generation in contemporary art. It is a bold, vibrant, and dynamic feature that reflects our ambition to make art accessible, surprising, and relevant to a new audience," says Carl Wilhelm Hirsch, Fair Director of Affordable Art Fair Stockholm.
Artist in Action – creativity in real time
In this year’s new programme section, Artist in Action, a part of the fair will be transformed into a temporary artist’s studio. Each day, a different artist will create live in front of the audience – a unique opportunity to follow the artistic process up close. Participating artists include Edda Detter, David Horgan, DIVE Madhouse and Josef Valentin Jawed.
"We are excited to give our visitors the opportunity to meet artists in the act of creation. This is an interactive and inspiring experience that offers a deeper understanding of the artist’s work and process," says Lovisa Smyth Vasseur, Fair Manager, Affordable Art Fair Stockholm.
Art for everyone – from SEK 900 to SEK 90,000
Over the course of five days, Nacka Strandsmässan will be filled with more than 75 galleries and over 500 artists from Sweden and around the world. All artworks are for sale on site, with prices ranging from SEK 900 to SEK 90,000. Visitors can speak directly with gallerists and artists, hear the stories behind the works, and take home their favourite pieces straight from the fair.
Affordable Art x Nordic Art Agency – exclusive podcast
In collaboration with Juliet Rees from Nordic Art Agency, the fair will launch the podcast Affordable Art x Nordic Art Agency in two episodes, premiering on 19 September with a second episode coming out on the 25 September 2025. The discussions explore what “Affordable Art” really means and how new collectors can start their art journey in an enjoyable and accessible way.
"Buying art can feel overwhelming, but with a small and manageable investment, the process becomes more enjoyable and accessible. Affordable Art Fair is the perfect entry point for new collectors – something we will talk more about in the podcast," says Juliet Rees Davies, Nordic Art Agency.
Digital guides and free transport
This year, a digital fair map and QR-based guided tours will be introduced, making it easy to navigate among exhibitors, discover art within a specific budget, or follow editorial highlights. To make visiting easier, free shuttle buses will run every 30 minutes between Vasagatan 22 and Nacka Strandsmässan (return trips included) throughout the fair. The first bus departs 30 minutes before opening each day from Vasagatan 22.
