Press release —
Brocc Finance to Acquire SEK 4bn Non-Performing Loan Portfolio from Entercard
Brocc Finance AB ("Brocc"), a Specialized Debt Manager authorized as a Swedish credit institution, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Entercard Group AB (publ) ("Entercard"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Swedbank AB, to acquire a portfolio of non-performing loans ("NPL") held by Entercard. The portfolio has a total gross outstanding balance of SEK 4bn, originated across Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway.
Brocc is acquiring the portfolio alongside Intrum, the appointed servicer, with Brocc acquiring approximately 90% of the total portfolio. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
Jonathan Klein-Strandberg, CEO of Brocc, commented:
"This transaction shows the value we bring as a partner to banks: taking on complex, cross-border NPL portfolios efficiently and with certainty, so they can focus on what's ahead. We're pleased to support Entercard through this stage of its transformation following its acquisition by Swedbank, in what is our first major transaction together."
Jason Davis, CIO of Brocc, commented:
"The acquisition strengthens Brocc's position as a preferred partner to banks for their NPL portfolio transactions, and working alongside Intrum on a deal of this scale shows how effectively we can partner across the industry to get complex transactions done. Brocc has now completed more than 25 transactions so far this year across multiple European markets, for a combined gross value of more than SEK 100bn."
