The search for young people who make extraordinary efforts for the climate and the environment continues. The Children’s Climate Prize is awarded to entrepreneurs, innovators, changemakers and conservators around the world. Nominations will be accepted until May 15th 2022.
Nu fortsätter sökandet efter unga människor som gör extraordinära insatser för klimatet och miljön. Children’s Climate Prize delas ut till entreprenörer, innovatörer, changemakers och naturvårdare runt om i världen. Nomineringar tas emot fram till den 15 maj 2022.
On June 4, this year’s nomination period, which was open since March 10, closed. With contributions received from all parts of the world (except Antarctica), last year’s nomination record was close to being doubled! This year there are 32 countries from which the jury will select finalists and winners of the 2021 Children’s Climate Prize.
17 åriga Aadya Joshi från Mumbai, Indien vann Children’s Climate Prize 2020. Hennes BioPower Index stöttar landskapsarkitekter, trädgårdsmästare och myndigheter i att plantera de växter som bäst stöder biologisk mångfald. Sedan vinsten har nya möjligheter öppnats upp och nu söker Aadya efter fler som vill etablera och sprida kunskap om varför biologisk mångfald är viktigt.
Seventeen-year-old Aadya Joshi from Mumbai, India won the Children’s Climate Prize 2020. Her BioPower Index supports landscape architects, gardeners and authorities in sowing the plants that best support biodiversity. Since her win, new opportunities have opened up and Aadya is now looking for more people who want to establish and share knowledge about the importance of planting native.
The digital Children's Climate Prize 2020 was broadcast live on 18 November at ccprize.org. Via the website, it is now possible to see the entire broadcast with extra material with Minister for the Environment and Climate, Isabella Lövin.

This year marks the fifth edition of the Children's Climate Prize, one of the world's biggest international climate awards for young innovators. On 18 November at 10am and 7pm CET, the event will be broadcasted globally at www.ccprize.org. The duration will be 35 minutes.
On 12 November, this year's Children’s Climate Prize will be recorded “live on tape”, and it has now been confirmed that Sweden's Minister for the Environment and Climate and Deputy Prime Minister, Isabella Lövin, will be present during the recording and participating in the broadcast. On 18 November at 10am and 7pm CET, the digital event will be broadcast globally.
