    The search for young people who make extraordinary efforts for the climate and the environment continues. The Children’s Climate Prize is awarded to entrepreneurs, innovators, changemakers and conservators around the world. Nominations will be accepted until May 15th 2022.

    Another nomination record for the Children’s Climate Prize

    On June 4, this year’s nomination period, which was open since March 10, closed. With contributions received from all parts of the world (except Antarctica), last year’s nomination record was close to being doubled! This year there are 32 countries from which the jury will select finalists and winners of the 2021 Children’s Climate Prize.

    Fourteen-year-old Vinisha Umashankar, from Tamil Nadu in India, won the Children's Climate Prize 2020. Her solar ironing cart- innovation had an enormous media impact both in her home country India and globally. Vinisha is now developing her project and is taking new sustainability initiatives for the environment and climate.

    Children's Climate Prize globally broadcasted on Wednesday, November 18

    This year marks the fifth edition of the Children's Climate Prize, one of the world's biggest international climate awards for young innovators. On 18 November at 10am and 7pm CET, the event will be broadcasted globally at www.ccprize.org. The duration will be 35 minutes.

    Sweden's Minister for the Environment and Climate Isabella Lövin will be attending the Children’s Climate Prize 2020

    On 12 November, this year's Children’s Climate Prize will be recorded “live on tape”, and it has now been confirmed that Sweden's Minister for the Environment and Climate and Deputy Prime Minister, Isabella Lövin, will be present during the recording and participating in the broadcast. On 18 November at 10am and 7pm CET, the digital event will be broadcast globally.
