Stop talking - start doing and get your team to care about testing!

Tid 12 Mars 2014 17:00 – 19:00

Plats Citerus, Barnhusgatan 16 (Norra Bantorget)

In your team, it's hard to get your team members to really take an interest in testing. Even though the programmers are great people and seem to take their craftsmanship of writing code seriously, it's hard to get a discussion going about testing. The test environments are a pain to maintain and it's up to you to get them working. During retrospectives, everyone agrees that testing should come up earlier in the sprint but not much has happened yet. What you need is to 'kickstart' your team into caring about testing and get them to actively work with testing. Instead of discussions in retrospectives, you need some concrete action! Ulrika talks about how organization a fun event like a bug hunt can be that kickstart to start talking about testing together and increase collaboration. Using gamification, the interest in testing techniques can be sparked. For Ulrika Malmgren, having everyone involved is one important face of testing. Join this session to start getting down to business and take steps towards testing as a team. Ulrika Malmgren, consultant and tester at Citerus, is a popular workshop leader and speaker on the subject of Agile testing. This event is a test run of the workshop that will be held on Belgium Testing Days next week. The workshop will be held at Citerus offices at Norra Bantorget, Stockholm on Wednesday 12 March at 17.00-19.00 (the end time might be slightly later due to this being a "testrun"). There will be sandwiches and drinks available. Please note that the seminar will be held in English.
