Set and costume designer Ann-Margret Fyregård awarded a medal by the King Carl XVI Gustaf

Drottningholm Court Theatre's set designer Ann-Margret Fyregård has been awarded HM ​​The King's Carl XVI Gustaf's Medal of the 8th size of the bright-blue ribbon, for outstanding contributions as a costume and set designer. 

The medal was awarded at a ceremony in Queen Lovisa Ulrika's dining room at the Royal Palace in Stockholm, on February 7th 2013.

Ann-Margret Fyregård is the designer of the opera costumes and set design for the opera Il matrimonio segreto that will be played at the Drottningholm Court Theatre this summer. Fyregård is set designer and lecturer in costume drawing at Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts. Watch a clip from the award ceremony at the Royal Palace here:

Sofi Lerström, CEO of Drottningholm Court Theatre, will present the coming projects at the launch breakfast for the Baltic Sea Festival on March 15, at Berwaldhallen concert hall in Stockholm.
