I samband med Drottningholms Slottsteaters föreställningar av operan Hemligt äktenskap ges en serie öppna operaintroduktioner i Déjeunersalongen. Söndagen den 9 juni klockan 15.00 samtalar Drottningholmsteaterns konstnärlige ledare Mark Tatlow, samt Magnus Tessing Schneider, som forskar i tidig operahistoria inom projektet Performing premodernity, om dolda koder i musik och manus. Tonight, May 2, at 9:30 PM, the first part of a live web cast in "The Stockholm Cimarosa Project" will be web casted by U-Sophia for the Drottningholms Slottsteater's new opera production "Il matrimonio segreto". The web cast includes a meeting with Stage Director Deda Cristina Colonna and the theater's Artistic Director and Conductor Mark Tatlow.
In addition the the well-known summer opera productions the Drottningholm Court Theatre arranges numerous entertaining and educational activities within their Esprit! program, such as concerts by popular and prominent soloists Anne Sofie von Otter, Elin Rombo and the young Russian star Julia Lezhneva, but also a magical family show, The Magic Flute and opera introductions.
Drottningholms slottsteaters scenograf Ann-Margret Fyregård har tilldelats H M Konungens medalj av 8:e storleken i högblått band, för framstående insatser som kostymtecknare och scenograf. Medaljen delades ut vid en ceremoni i Lovisa Ulrikas matsal på Kungliga slottet den 7 februari 2013.
Årets säsong på Drottningholms Slottsteater är fylld av nya operaproduktioner, spännande evenemang, föreställningar och konserter. Säsongens två operaproduktioner presenteras redan nu inför biljettsläppet den 1 februari. Hemligt äktenskap (Il matrimonio segreto, 1792) av Domenico Cimarosa och Titus mildhet (La Clemenza di Tito, 1791) av W A Mozart.
