EIT Health community vs. COVID-19 - new response platform launched
The COVID-19 pandemic is having a devastating impact on our society. As Europe’s largest organisation for collaboration within life science innovation, the EIT Health community wants to leverage its network to play a role in responding to the crisis. We have therefore launched a COVID-19 response platform, facilitating connections between those who seek help and those who want to offer support.
Ten start-ups granted funding to leverage health data business opportunities
Ten SMEs have been selected to be funded and to participate in the EIT Health Digital Sandbox Programme, which is lead by EIT Health Scandinavia. Chosen from around 30 applicants, the winners come from all over Europe and will receive funding and support that will help them develop products and services through collaboration with biobanks, sample holders and health registers in Europe.
Six Scandinavian start-ups selected for European Catapult start-up competition semifinals
The six best Scandinavian biotech, medtech and digital health start-ups have been selected by EIT Health Scandinavia for the EIT Health European Health Catapult semifinals. They will now compete with 36 other start-ups from other European regions for a place at the finals at the EIT Health Summit in Paris in December.

It combines a physical creative space for co-creation of innovation with an educational programme for incubation of ideas. The Co-Up Lab is a mobile educational space that by “popping up” is utilising remote locations, taking health care education to end-users.
Big Data, biobanks and registers – the future of healthcare in Europe
Three Think Tank roundtable meetings in Europe held by EIT Health this year have provided outcomes and discussions about how to use big data in healthcare. The last roundtable, held in Stockholm on 13. of August, focusing on biobanks and quality registers, has developed further into programme RABBIT (Registers And BioBanks in Transition) to promote better health and aging of the European citizens.

Tubus Technology is a Danish company developing simple and smart solutions to empower people with mobility disabilities. Its product TubusOne is a low-tech communication device used for navigating on tablets and smartphones. It works just like a finger on all touchscreen devices and enables people with arms and hands disabilities to use touchscreen devices by simply puffing slightly into a tube.
