Malin Lindfors Speace, founder of Ethos, received the Growth Rings in Silver for the global award Founder of the Year category Small Size Companies at the Founders Awards Gala held at Grand Hôtel in Stockholm on September 20.

Ethos is one of the Nordic's leading management consultants specializing in sustainability. The company was founded in 2007 by Malin Lindfors Speace, who currently holds an ownership share of 35%. Ethos consists of 35 employees with expertise across all areas of sustainability, from climate analysts and human rights lawyers to sustainable finance experts and auditors on the ground. The team works side-by-side with companies and financial market participants of all sectors and maturity to improve their sustainability strategies and align with ESG legislation.
How the Winners Are Chosen as Founder of the Year Small Size Companies
The Founder of the Year award honors successful global founders who have built one or more strong private or public limited companies. It aims to spotlight these founders and inspire growth in medium to large-sized internationally expanding companies.
To honor founders across various stages of company development, the award has three categories: small, medium, and large companies. In the category Founder of the Year Small Size Companies are active founders of a private or public limited company with a revenue of approximately 2-10 million euro and at least 20% ownership in a profitable company, based on the fiscal year 2022.
The finalists have been assessed by the Founders Alliance Index, which takes into account past performance, future potential, and social benefits, and they have been evaluated by a Founders Jury of experienced founders.
The Founder Jury consisted of Chair of the jury Andrius Francas, founder of Alliance for Recruitment, Sofi Franzén, founder of Eventyr Nine Yards, Emma Rozada, founder of The Techno Creatives, Vladimir Borisov, founder of Teleportme.nl, Kerstin Cooley, founder of Cool Collective and Monica Hedberg, founder of Monica Hedberg Invest.
