FREEDOMtravel has been appointed official tourism ambassadors for Uzbekistan

After two amazing trips to Uzbekistan, the country has taken on a very special place in the hearts of Peter and Helena Bergström. That is why the digital travel magazine FREEDOMtravel.se is delighted to announce that Peter and Helena have now been appointed official tourism ambassadors for Uzbekistan.

Amazing trips in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan is a country that offers many surprises! This colorful country in the east has a dreamy shimmer to it, with a history that tells of camel caravans along the Silk Road and an early cultural center in Central Asia. For a thousand years, this region has been hot point of international trade and cultural exchanges, even the Vikings traded here. But did you know that the country is also very exciting to visit as a tourist today?

Peter and Helena, at FREEDOMtravel, have visited Uzbekistan twice and were fascinated not least by the hospitality, the friendly people and how safe and secure it feels to travel in this country. Uzbekistan offers many historical attractions, many of which are listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, but also fantastic silk products, beautiful crafts, delicious food, captivating dance and music, dramatic nature with high mountains, and much, much more.

“We have traveled a lot in our lives and visited many different countries in the world, and yet the trips to Uzbekistan offered something completely special. This part of the world was a bit like a blank spot on the map for us before, and we were overwhelmed by the strong colors and exciting culture. A memory for life!”, says Helena Bergström.

Tourism ambassadors for Uzbekistan

Peter and Helena Bergström have now been appointed official tourism ambassadors for Uzbekistan, via the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The diplomas have been signed by Aziz Abdukhakimov, Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan.

“We are incredibly honored by this fine award and this assignment. It feels fantastic to be able to share our experiences of traveling in Uzbekistan, and to continue to inspire others to discover this fantastic country,” says Peter Bergström.

As tourism ambassadors for Uzbekistan, Peter and Helena will, among other things, participate in various events and talk about their travel experiences in the country. There will also be more trips to Uzbekistan, to discover and tell about even more sides of this fascinating country.
