American artist Matt Miley

Matt Miley’s “Assimilation in the Snow”, made in New York/Missisippi and showing for the first time in Sweden, is heavily influenced by his life experiences in the southern US. Matt pursued an opportunity to study in London and Amsterdam where he observed a complex social, cultural, and political environment. Europe bares some similarities to the southern US but is often completely
divergent. Matt Miley will give an Artist Talk on Thursday April 16 at 7pm.

Each day: 8am, 12noon, 4pm and 7pm, April 14-19
Galleri Duerr holds storytelling presentations about the on-going project with Alannah Robins’ “A Sculpture in Liquorice”, her oil painting series “Woman under Water”, “Assimilation in the Snow” by Matt Miley and Nuno Perestrelo’s images about democracy.
