Mycorena AB, det nya FoodTech-företaget från Göteborg, hade denna vecka en invigningsceremoni för sin produktionsanläggning som ska byggas i Falkenberg. Företaget, som har som mål att förändra proteinindustrin mot en mer hållbar och hälsosam framtid, har fått internationell uppmärksamhet för sin banbrytande produkt och har ett starkt team som firar milstolpe efter milstolpe.
In early 2020, Swedish foodtech start-up Mycorena had made headlines by launching their unique fungi-based protein ingredient, Promyc®. Growing at full strength, the company has now raised over 1.2 Million EUR to fund the scale-up expansion of the product to reach the mass market.
The European Food Venture Forum was held for the eighth time in Aarhus, Denmark this September, where entrepreneurs, food producers, established companies and investors gathered to find the best business ideas in food and food technology. Mycorena AB, one of the portfolio company of GU Ventures, won the special Foodtech challenge award instituted by the Scandinavian food company Arla Foods.
