Internet Marketing Conference in Stockholm Attracted a Full House
Approximately 140 people from 20 countries participated in Internet Marketing Conference (IMC) in Stockholm on November 29–30, 2007. Visitors came all the way from Japan, South Korea, South Africa, United States, and more, to learn, network, and do business. “It was a great boost of energy for all participating e-business experts, and we’re very pleased that the vast majority of participants wouldn’t hesitate to recommend IMC to others, according to our post-event survey,” says Lennart Svanberg, producer of IMC.
Subjects such as eye-tracking, social media, web analytics, and behavioral targeting were discussed. One of many speakers was Brian Clifton (PhD) from Google, who explained how using Website Optimizer to test different creatives can impact your bottom line.
“I’m very pleased with the overall quality of the speakers and discussions. More than 200 potential speakers were contacted, and fewer than 50 were selected to present or be on panels. Now it’s time to do some tweaking for the next conference,” says Lars Johansson, responsible for the agenda in Stockholm.
The conference was supported by 14 sponsors, media partners, and association partners. Sponsors included wunderloop, WebTrends, Avail Intelligence, eFrame, Foviance, Alenio, Google, and Satama.
The hosts also launched a Facebook group where discussions from the conference will continue.
IMC released the dates for upcoming conferences during the Stockholm event. Conferences will be held in New York (June 2008), Vancouver (September 2008), Stockholm (November 2008), and Helsinki (March 2009).
IMC is the only global event of its kind produced by Scandinavians.
