DIY sandcastle made from Swedish hard bread Wasa is smashed in new music video
Now the 21st song is released in the project where the Gothenburg-based music producer and artist Melisha releases a song and music video a month. This time, a DIY sandcastle made of the Swedish hard bread Wasa is representing broken dreams in relationships in the video which is about just that, building relationships out of sandcastles.

Navigating the dating world is difficult and many people feel confused. You may also have an underlying longing for permanence in relationships, but the new technology makes it harder not to swipe each other away. This is what the song wants to convey with simple pop melodies but with dancing vibes and a bit of humor. The song has a subtext in urging not to believe in too many promises at the beginning of a relationship which can be quite painful when it turns out to be empty promises.
The wedding dress also represents dreams of a future in the relationship which together with the sandcastle being shattered visualizes shattered future dreams. The dress comes from erikshjälpen's online secondhand shop.
Melisha creates her videos with different DIY ideas and this time the sandcastle is made from the Swedish bread Wasa knäckebröd (husman) and a homemade mixture called "trolldeg" (Swedish word for Troll dough). Then spray glue and a lot of sand. The artist Maia Joss has been involved in creating the structure of the sandcastle together with Melisha.
In the video, Dimitrios Olsson-Yaouzis stars as a partner and filming is done by Nadja Itäsaari and Leonardo Linnell.

ABOUT MELISHA
Melisha is a Swedish / Norwegian DIY producer / artist from Gothenburg with a studio in Brewhouse since the last 10 years but has had the studio for a total of 22 years. She has a Bachelor degree within music production from Dalarnas University, she attended a master's programme in audiovisual design (where a master's thesis is impatiently waiting to be completed.)
Produced for other artists but is now releasing her own music on her independent label.
Each song has its own atmosphere and soundscape and the creation of this is a big part of her creativity.
She has been a teacher within production at the University of Gothenburg, HSM, since 2017.
She co founded the non profit organization EQLovesMusic and has been the project manager for EQLovesFestival, which featured many famous female world names in music production, including Sylvia Massy, Linn FIjal, Leila Arab, Ebony Bones, Erin Tonkon, Gloria Kaba, Heba Kadry, Ana Diaz and many more.
In the summer of 2021, Melisha started the project #onesongamonth, which means that she releases one song a month with an accompanying music video, more precisely the last Friday of each month. How long will she be able to do this ?
