Lonza Solutions and Pharem Biotech have started a new water treatment project together. Using Zymatic, Pharem's enzyme treatment technology, the treatment step will be tailored to target and treat various organic compounds in one or more selected process streams.
Zymatic has been chosen to participate in the international project “Green Ultrafiltration Water Cleaning Technologies”. The project will investigate various technologies and combination of technologies for treatment of contaminants of emerging concern (CECs).
The Horizon 2020 project (called PFS), which represented Pharem's wastewater treatment technology, has been completed with all important objectives achieved. The project demonstrated the capacity of the enzyme treatment technology under operating conditions at wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) as well as its ability to remove a wide range of pharmaceutical residues found in effluent wastewater.
Since its launch a few months ago, pCure has had steadily increased sales growth and interest. Pharem´s owners have therefore decided to place the brand, and IP, in its own company. The new company is in line with the ongoing strategy to simplify the interaction between different Pharem products. The strategy will open up for partners and investors with a specific interest in pCure.
In connection with the launch of the product pCure on the European market, a partnership with WaterAid is initiated. The purpose of the partnership is that the sales of the company's products will increase the access to clean water in the world's most vulnerable areas. For each product sold, an amount is donated to WaterAid's important work.
I samband med lansering av produkten pCure på den europeiska marknaden inleds ett partnerskap med WaterAid. Syftet med partnerskapet är att försäljningen av företagets produkter ska öka tillgången till rent vatten i världens mest utsatta områden. För varje såld produkt skänks ett belopp till WaterAids viktiga arbete.
The aim of the collaboration between the two companies is to extend the existing technology range for treatment of organic micro-pollutants through Pharem´s modern enzyme technology. The joint focus will primarily be towards wastewater treatment plants (WWTP:s) on the Nordic market.
Målsättningen med samarbetet mellan de två bolagen är att genom modern enzymteknik utöka den existerande teknikgrunden för rening av organiska mikroföroreningar. Den gemensamma satsningen kommer att inledningsvis riktas främst mot avloppsreningsverk (ARV) på den nordiska marknaden.

The organisation is jointly owned by the regional water managers in the country and will evaluate the system that have been developed towards municipal wastewater treatment plants (WWTP)
