RaceID closes financial round led by Athanase Innovation

RaceID closes a financial round led by Athanase Innovation listed on First North Stock Exchange. The new investment round will enable RaceID to continue to expand into more markets and further develop the product.

Athanase Innovation have together with existing investors of RaceID strengthened the company’s financial position with the goal to reach a new phase. The focus now will be further growth and Björn Jeffery at Athanase Innovation believes that RaceID is in a strong position coming out of the pandemic.

“RaceID are perfectly positioned when the world opens up and the races start up again. In addition, the company’s innovation is added with a virtual race engine that becomes a perfect complement to both participants and organizers”, says Björn Jeffery, acting CEO of Athanase Innovation.

RaceID was founded in 2016 and is a SaaS company that provides an ecosystem for races and race participants worldwide. The core is the RaceID Community with over 120,000 members who are connected to an Event Management System that today helps race events in over 40 countries with, among other things, registration, timekeeping and communication. RaceID aims to take a position as a global market leader in an industry that has an enormous need for both consolidation and digitization.
