Revelop acquires social infrastructure asset in central Södertälje
Stockholm, April 28, 2026 – Revelop has acquired Asken 2, a social infrastructure asset in central Södertälje, directly adjacent to Södertälje Central Station, the municipality’s primary transport hub for both railway and bus connections. The asset is strategically positioned within an established residential and commercial catchment area and offers attractive fundamentals supported by ongoing urban development in the surrounding area.
Asken 2 comprises approximately 5,600 sqm of lettable area and currently has an economic occupancy rate of 80%. A significant share of the rental income is government-backed, primarily derived from healthcare-related tenants, underpinning a stable income profile and strong fundamentals within the social infrastructure segment. The asset also comprises a parking garage with 125 car spaces, that is undergoing a significant upgrade.
The business plan focuses on strengthening the asset as a leading care hub in central Södertälje by attracting complementary tenants and increasing the share of publicly funded services. In parallel, targeted technical upgrades will enhance the asset’s sustainability profile and reduce environmental impact.
The municipality of Södertälje benefits from strong underlying growth, driven by infrastructure investments and extensive residential development, with more than 2,000 new homes planned in the city centre. The upcoming Ostlänken high-speed rail will further strengthen connectivity and reinforce Södertälje’s position as a key regional hub for healthcare and public services.
