Genzyme Phase 3 Study of Oral Compound Eliglustat Tartrate for Gaucher Disease Meets Primary Endpoint

Paris, France - October 2, 2012 - Sanofi (EURONEXT: SAN and NYSE: SNY) and its subsidiary Genzyme announced today that ENGAGE, the first Phase 3 trial of its investigational oral therapy, eliglustat tartrate, in previously untreated patients with Gaucher disease type 1, met its primary endpoint.
