Smart Refill continues to invest in digital services for the youngest bank customers
Many parents are thinking about how to teach their children about economy when coins and banknotes are being replaced by numbers on a screen. In 2018, Smart Refill therefore released an app in collaboration with one of the largest banks in the Nordic region, that playfully teaches children and youths how to manage money together with their parents. The feedback on the app has been very positive, and now the next version is released. Now the child's bank account can be linked to the app and thus show real balance and transactions.
As a provider of digital services to the finance industry, Smart Refill focuses on three concepts: mobile banking, fund solutions and children's and youth banks. Smart Refill as a driving partner delivers everything from design to development and maintenance.
The latest version of the app can be linked to the child's bank account and thus display real balance and transactions in real time, features that have been requested by the users. This feature is built as an Account Information Service (AIS) integrated with the bank's system, and is made possible because Smart Refill is a certified third-party provider under the supervision of Finansinspektionen.

About the app
The purpose of the children's app is to inspire and teach children and young people how to manage money together with their parents. By setting savings goals, children can learn the difference between savings and pocket money in a playful way. It is also possible to create assignments that parents can reward the children for and pay weekly or monthly money via Swish.
