Idag presenteras årets program för den 33:e upplagan av Stockholms internationella filmfestival 2022. Festivalen presenterar 130 filmer från 50 länder var av hela 13 Oscarsnominerade internationella bidrag på bio och ett urval av filmer digitalt via Festival on Demand. Festivalen pågår mellan den 9-20 november och öppnar med Sveriges Oscarsbidrag, Cannesprisade filmen Boy from Heaven.
This year's recipient of the Stockholm Visionary Award, the multiple award-winning British film director, Sam Mendes, is visiting Stockholm in connection with his film Empire of Lights, which will have its Swedish premiere during the Stockholm Film Festival, on Friday, November 11. Mendes will then receive the festival's prize for visionary filmmakers with a unique eye for the craft.
